"Mrs. Marco Polo Remembers" published in 1968 and SIGNED on the half title page by Mary Parker Dunning herself is a fascinating book about her over 50 years of travel with her husband, Harry Westbook Dunning. From 1908 to 1956 they experienced the wonders of the world in places like Singapore, Egypt, Constantinople, Africa, and Nepal just to name a few. Egypt 1909: "The night we made a visit which completely changed my life. We called upon Hadji Hamid ibn Muhammed Muhassib and his father." p. 83 "He finally brought out my wedding gift, a ring set with scarab of the Usertesen I dynasty... He handed the ring to Harry and not to me... He said to Harry, 'Women are as common as the sands of the sea and as unstable as the wind-blown foam, but the woman whom my friend love is perhaps worthy.'" p. 84 Reading this book you feel like you are there traveling the world with Mary and Harry who took substantial pleasure in life and lived it to it's fullest!
